Police are investigating following an alleged serious sexual assault on a teenager in the Wester Hailes are that happened in February.
Specialist search teams are currently searching a wooded area near Wester Hailes Park and Clovenstone Road as part of the investigation.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police in Edinburgh are currently investigating a report that a 14-year-old girl was the victim of a serious sexual assault.
“This incident took place in a wooded area near a footpath at Clovenstone Road at approximately 9pm on the 3rd February 2017.
“Anyone with information that may help is urged to contact Police Scotland quoting reference number 2901 of the 14th June 2017.”
