Armed police attended Blackfriars Streert earlier this evening following reports concerning a male.

The armed officers and dog handler swooped just after 4pm.

The street was closed and cordons were in place whilst the incident was dealt with.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “We attended Blackfriars Street following a report for concern of a male.

“The incident has now been resolved.”
