A 6 year old boy was rushed to hospital after a collision with a car
Emergency services yesterday raced to Saughton Road near to the prison after a 6 year old child was knocked down by a car yesterday afternoon at around 3.30pm
A Spokesman for The Scottish Ambulance Service Said
” We received a 999 call reporting a road traffic accident”
” A Paramedic Response Unit and a Ambulance attended the incident alongside Police Scotland”
” Paramedics treated a young child for serious injuries at scene before being conveyed to Royal hospital for Sick Children”
Police confirmed they were called to the scene following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The boy was taken to Sick Kids hospital with non life-threatening injuries.A woman was charged under the Road Traffic Act (1988) and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
